Founder & Financial Manager
Jakeb Perry

My name is Jakeb Perry, and I am half of the founding pair of Exodus Academy. My wife and I opened up Exodus in 2023. I have a background in ministry (youth to be specific) and my passion is helping kids realize who they are in Christ. My role at Exodus is to manage the books for parents and staff, so you will be seeing me from time to time. In my spare time I enjoy coaching sports, constructing DIY projects, spending time with my family, and relaxing. I love the Georgia Bulldogs football team, and if I'm not repping Exodus Academy, I will be repping them. I'm excited to get to know your family better and see how we can serve you here.

Educator
Lindsey Shilling

Hi, I’m Lindsey! I’m proud to be entering my second year at Exodus Academy, where I’ll be teaching both math and art. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from Converse University and previously spent six years in the public school system. Before joining the team at Exodus, our family also homeschooled for two years—an experience that deepened my appreciation for flexible, student-centered education.
I’m passionate about creating a classroom environment where creativity, critical thinking, and kindness thrive. Whether we’re tackling problem-solving in math or expressing ourselves through art, my goal is to help students grow with confidence and curiosity. I’m especially excited to be part of a holistic, micro-school approach to learning that honors the whole child and fosters meaningful connection.
Outside of school, I enjoy a quiet, simple life with my family here in the Upstate, and I’m always reading something new. I’m honored to walk alongside your child on their learning journey at Exodus Academy.

The program begins daily at 2:30 PM and offers reliable care, helping to bridge the gap between the end of the school day and the end of the workday. Through structured activities, academic support, and enrichment opportunities, we aim to promote the well-being and development of every student in our care.
